rSitez (www.rsitez.com) is one of the leading white label social networking platform and a competitor to Ning. Because of this we have received a number of questions regarding Ning’s action to shut down its ‘Red Light District’ of adult sites. They plan to do this effective January 1, 2009. Questions have been mainly regarding our position on this topic. Therefore, the following is where we stand on the subject.

Does rSitez have a Red Light District like Ning?
No.  However, we believe that everyone should be able to create their own social network and do not believe in censorship. We strongly believe in this freedom and our customers account for virtually every kind of network that can be imagined. Like Google, Yahoo and other online companies we understand that adult content will be a part of this mix and provide a variety of privacy option for this.

What kind of privacy features does rSitez provide for its sites?
Our sites comes with features to restrict members by age, to ‘lock down’ the site so that members and content are private to only registered users, to delete or block content, and to restrict users and groups that are not appropriate for the site.

An objection to Ning was the potential mingling of adult site members and content with other sites. How do you address this issue?
Ning architecture is completely different than ours. With Ning architecture, all members share the same platform. This creates the ability for members from different Ning sites to possibly come in contact with each other. Each of our customers however has his own private site and database. There is no sharing of content, data or members between sites, therefore this is not an issue for us.

How can networks make money with rSitez?
We offer various monetization features including advertising, membership payment and other revenue models. We also customize sites to add unique revenue generating features based on our customer requests.

If a Ning site wants to move to rSitez, what can they do?
They can go to www.rsitez.com and sign up. They can contact us at sales@rsitez.com if they need help with migrating their content.

Good Morning..! http://demya.com/images/smile.gif

Kudos to the mods on a great place to hang out on…!

I’ve been here as a lurker for a while and finally got around to registration.

I sorta live online – spend most of my days addicted to social sites like MySpace.com and gambling sites like Betot.com.

Besides gambling (this week I made a sweet $2,000) off of betot, I love sports and hiking.

So that’s my self introduction. Happy New Year to All and hope to get to know you all better… http://demya.com/images/forum.gif

Peace…
